Additionally, more air stays behind the BB, resulting in a higher muzzle velocity. For the best results, the manufacturer recommends pairing with Maple Leaf hop-up buckings. The barrel is made from chrome-plated brass.

Hop-up bucking is, along with the precision inner barrel, chamber system, and high-quality BBs, one of the most crucial components influencing the accuracy and range of your weapon. If you want to shoot further and more accurately, there is no need to excessively increase muzzle velocity. Finding the right setup is an art, and everyone has their own “perfect formula.”
Hop-up buckings are available in several variations, each suited for different inner barrel types (AEG/HPA, GBB/VSR, Hybrid), muzzle velocity (shore hardness), ambient temperatures (classic vs. silicone buckings), and most importantly, intended use (range or accuracy).
The longer and wider the contact surface with the bucking, the greater the range. However, BBs may not be as accurate compared to using buckings with arrow/diamond-shaped nubs that increase accuracy by guiding the BB through a focused point.

Classification of GBB/VSR Hop-Up Buckings by Maple Leaf

• DELTA - now DECEPTICONS
  Featuring a diamond-shaped nub, this bucking is designed for higher accuracy. The first model, MONSTER DELTA, was only available in black. The DECEPTICONS models now come color-coded by hardness for easier identification. As of 2023, this model was redesigned for improved sealing. Silicone versions are available, suitable for cold weather.
  
  
• DIAMOND - now AUTOBOT
  With a diamond-shaped nub, this bucking is optimized for greater range. An upgraded version of the original MONSTER DIAMOND, which was only available in black. Like the DECEPTICONS (accuracy), the AUTOBOT (range) models are also color-coded by hardness. The AUTOBOT was redesigned in 2023 for better sealing. Silicone versions are available for cold conditions.
