The Fenix 18650 3500 mAh (ARB-L18-3500) high-end rechargeable battery with electronics protection is based on Panasonic/Sanyo's top-of-the-line NCR18650GA cells with improved LiNiCoO2 technology, which delivers both higher safety and longer life. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterized by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect or self-discharge. Li-ion in the 18650 size are the best choice in terms of stored energy due to their size and weight.

Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. The added electronic circuits prevent the cell from overcharging, over-discharging and against short circuit or too high current draw. If the battery electronics assess that the limits have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.

The internal protection consists of a separator, a high-tech Heat Resistance Layer (HRL) and a special explosion-proof valve. In the event that the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator separates the electrodes inside the battery, thus interrupting the exothermic reaction, and the anti-blast valve releases the excess gas pressure outside the battery. The combination of electronic and mechanical (temperature and pressure) protection makes Fenix batteries one of the safest li-ion batteries available.

The 18650 battery is roughly equivalent in size to two CR123A lithium batteries, which is why it is often used in flashlights as a rechargeable alternative to these primary cells. Please check first whether your appliance supports this cell. This battery is designed for use in Fenix E28R, E30R, Fenix E35 UE (not designed for E35 V3.0), PD32 V2.0, PD35, TK11 TAC, TK15, TK16 (1000 lm version only), TK25 UV, TK25 IR, TK25 Red, TK25 R&B, TK26R, TK75, FD41, LD30, SD11, SD20 LED flashlights. LED headlamps Fenix HL55, HL60R, HP25R (1000lm version only), HP30R (1750lm version only), HM60R, HM61R, HM65R, HM65R-T, lanterns CL26R, CL30R and bike lights Fenix BC21R and BC30.

Please note due to length and diameter may not fit some old models - for example Fenix PD31, TK11, TK21, TK30. The battery is also not compatible with Fenix FD65 and TK47 models.
