Steyr AUG, short for Armee-Universal-Gewehr (universal army rifle), was developed in Austria in the late 1970s as a response to the growing need to modernize military equipment.
This bullpup Bullpup design introduced revolutionary design and technological innovations that made it an icon of its time and it is still used worldwide.
Thanks to its timeless design and light weight with the possibility of having a long barrel but a short weapon, the Steyr AUG became an iconic weapon that influenced the development of modern assault rifles.
To this day it remains in active service in several armies and police forces around the world, testifying to the durability and quality of this Austrian invention.
The airsoft AEG assault rifle AUG SSR77 emphasizes the lightweight nylon body (as in the real model) but also the high-quality craftsmanship and fit. The body is reinforced with glass fibers and is more durable than the common zinc alloys in cheap metal bodies, which is appreciated by both beginners and advanced players who prefer fast-paced action in the style of speedsoft, where every gram is just extra weight. This type of body can also be found on weapons such as CZ Scorpion Evo or MP7.

Internal parts

SSR77 is equipped with top-quality internal parts that ensure its exceptional performance and reliability. The electronic trigger unit (ETU) offers programmable shooting modes including semi-auto, full-auto, binary trigger, and AUG mode (press = semi, hold = burst), as well as adjustable pre-cocking.
Metal hop-up chamber and nozzle are precisely manufactured using CNC technology, which, together with the Infinity Flat-Hop bucking, ensures optimal bullet trajectory.
Thanks to the quick spring change system (QSC), it is possible to easily adjust the shooting energy according to the limits.
Durable internal parts include CNC steel gears with a 16:1 ratio, steel-tooth piston, and steel cylinder, guaranteeing long lifespan and great weapon performance.
The weapon is equipped with a T-Dean connector and, thanks to the powerful 24k motor, allows safe use of Li-Pol batteries 11.1V.

External parts

The external construction of the SSR77 is designed with an emphasis on durability and stability. The body of the weapon is made of strong fiber-reinforced nylon, ensuring high quality and resistance to wear.
The outer barrel is entirely aluminum, manufactured with precise CNC technology. The mid-cap magazine holds up to 180 BBs and is transparent, allowing for quick ammunition status checks.
A unique feature is the removable outer barrel extension, allowing you to shorten the weapon or hide the inner barrel inside a suppressor (not included).
