Weapon information

The origin of the AR9 dates back to the 1960s when the original AR-15 was designed by Eugene Stoner and manufactured by Armalite, initially intended for military use. In the 1980s and 1990s, the AR platform gained popularity among civilian users, and gun manufacturers began experimenting with different variants, including those for pistol rounds.
The AR9 emerged in 2000 as a specialized variant and gained popularity due to its versatility, low ammunition cost, and reduced recoil.
The AR9 is characterized by modularity, similar to the AR-15, which allows for easy component exchange and customization according to the user's needs. The use of 9mm rounds provides advantages in the form of lower ammunition costs and reduced recoil, making the gun easier to control. This gun is ideal for sport shooting, home defense, and training due to its compact size and ease of handling.

What does the Specna Arms AR9 Light Ops (SA-FX01 FLEX™ HAL ETU) offer?

Internal parts

The replica AR9 Light Ops (SA-FX01 FLEX™ HAL ETU) is equipped with an electronic processor unit HAL ETU™, which takes the weapon's performance to a whole new level. With this upgrade, the Specna Arms brand moves from the mid-tier into the elite company of prestigious brands offering the latest technological features in their basic gun models.
The HAL name is derived from the so-called Hall effect, which allows the unit to sense trigger sensitivity. It also increases the gun's rate of fire and enables the safe use of Li-Pol batteries 7.4V and 11.1V.
The AR9 is already equipped with a 6.03 mm precision barrel that improves accuracy, and an adjustable Hop-up chamber type M4/16 with a high-quality rubber.
It also includes the now-standard QSC system ESA (quick spring change), which allows you to install a stronger/weaker spring as you wish.
Gearbox is reinforced and contains premium internal parts (detailed below), and the gearbox is capable of handling springs up to M120 as stated by Specna Arms in the description of their FLEX series gearboxes.

External parts

The replica Specna Arms AR9 Light Ops (SA-FX01 FLEX™ HAL ETU) features high-quality external nylon body that has a matte finish and appears highly realistic. Thanks to the fiberglass reinforcement, it is very durable yet lightweight.
The outer barrel is made of metal, and the screws, ejector port, and pins are even made of steel. This small beast is truly durable and robust, yet at the same time, it is extremely light and maneuverable. Designed to dominate CQB arenas.
The controls are intuitive thanks to the proven AR-15 platform. On the left side, you will find an accurate fire selector switch, an ambidextrous charging handle, and on the right side, the ejector port that allows easy access to the hop-up adjustment.
The magazine and its release catch are cleverly designed with a release lever similar to AK/EVO weapons, ensuring reliability and ease of operation compared to the small button on the AR15. Other controls remain identical to the M4 rifle.
The airsoft version only imitates Glock magazines, but this doesn't detract from the authentic experience. The magazine fits tightly and does not wobble.
Nylon M-LOK handguard allows you to attach various accessories such as grip, AN/PEQ box, flashlight, etc.
The weapon also features a brand-new type of Light Ops stock with a rubberized cheek rest and QD sling swivel sockets, which is lightweight and minimalist.
The battery is placed only in the buffer tube, so make sure to choose a Stick-type buffer battery. Overall, this rifle combines lightweight design with great internal parts at an attractive price.

The HAL ETU™ unit offers the following functions:

Important instructions for weapon activation

To start shooting, the HAL ETU unit must be activated by following this procedure exactly, otherwise the weapon will not respond to the connected battery:

1. Switch the selector to Safe.
2. Connect the battery and wait for 3 seconds until a beep sounds.
3. Pull the trigger and hold it for 5 seconds until another beep sounds.
4. The weapon is now ready for use.
